GOOD GAMES VS BAD GAMES: A METAL GEAR RISING REVIEW

30FPS or 60FPS?
A lot of people don't exactly know what makes a game good, and what makes a game bad. The majority just go by word of mouth, popularity, etc. But how many know the difference between a game that is well programmed, free of bugs, balanced, has an amazingly stable frame rate, and is still a crazy amount of fun? Not too many I think because a good 90-95% of the games being released lately don't have any of the substance that I just previously mentioned yet hardly anyone thinks that's a problem. Today I will both be discussing what I personally think makes a game good, and why Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance is the best game that I've ever played since 2009.

PHANTASY STAR ONLINE 2 CLOSED BETA TEST DAY 1: IMPRESSIONS

Well everyone PSO2 closed beta testing officially started today! Servers have been up since 12:00AM PST and of course I had to be one of the first of thousands of people to log in for the first time during this beta test and I must say that I am rather impressed with this game. Now unlike a lot of other fans of the original Phantasy Star Online I actually enjoyed the sequel, (or spin-off or whatever you want to call it), Phantasy Star Universe a lot more than the original. Sure it lost that great atmosphere that PSO originally had but the game play easily made up for it.

RESIDENT EVIL 6 ANNOUNCEMENT TRAILER BREAKDOWN/ANALYSIS

Resident Evil 6 was hinted at just two days ago 1/18/12 via NoHopeLeft.com which showcased the rumored China setting, and numerous Bio-hazard symbols posted around the site and now as you probably know by now the announcement trailer has been released but doesn't really explain much of what is going on with the story. The trailer is constantly flashing to another scene making it slightly difficult to get a good look of what is going on. Lucky for you if you didn't catch every little detail shown in trailer, I will go over what I can of what's going on. Unfortunately a few subjects that I talk about in this article are not officially confirmed by Capcom and is just pure speculation.

テイルズオブデステイニー2 (Tales of Destiny 2) REVIEW

Tales of Destiny 2 is the fourth game in the "Tales of" series which released on November 28th, 2002. The game was only released in Japan and sadly was never translated. For those who don't know, the Tales series is a series of anime inspired RPG games that play quite differently than your average RPG. When Namco first released Tales of Phantasia on the SNES they took a different approach on how an RPG can be played. In the Tales series, like many other RPG games you traverse a world map, visit towns explore dungeons, engage in battles against all sorts of creatures, get deeply involved in the story, and continuously upgrade your character or characters. What makes the Tales series so different than your average RPG is the way battles are carried out. Battles are real time, and are very fast paced. Rather than selecting which attacks you want to use then watch as your characters execute them you instead control every action of your character as if you were playing an strategic beat em up.

THE KING OF SOUNDTRACKS REVIEW

The King of Soundtracks is a four disc soundtrack containing tracks from The King of Fighters 94' all the way to The King of Fighters XIII. The selection of songs and the amount of songs your getting with this soundtrack is amazing. One hundred and one songs and five hours worth of music for free? From one of the best, if not the best fighting game series of all time, how could you not be satisfied with a product like this? The King of Soundtracks was a pre-order bonus for those of us who pre-ordered The King of Fighters XIII, and currently is no longer obtainable as far as I know.
